Tufts Veterinary School of Medicine
The Tufts Veterinary School of Medicine desired to construct a multi-purpose athletic field complex located at their Grafton campus. GEI was retained to perform a topographic survey, design and permitting, bidding and construction administration services to achieve these goals. The project included the following:
• Layout a new softball field, tennis courts, basketball court, sand volleyball, and horseshoe pits on an existing 2.5 acre field.
• Design new athletic fields and components to comply with NCAA standards for dimensions and construction.
• Design a new drainage system to collect and divert runoff from the playing surfaces and field and correct an existing groundwater problem on a cut slope.
• Develop bid documents including detailed site plans and specifications.
• Provide construction administration services to assure quality of construction.
