Sutton/Northbridge Sewer Study
GEI was retained to conduct a feasibility study of extending sewers within both towns near the intersection of Route 146 and Main Street. The extension would connect a 300+ acre commercial and industrial zoned area in both towns to the existing sewer system in Sutton. Our specific tasks were as follows:
• Evaluated the existing sewer system within the study area and determine the available capacity of these systems to accommodate additional wastewater flows for future development. This included collection and analysis of existing facility water records, pump station and treatment plant flow recording, with supplemental field inspections of the existing system.
• Developed conceptual layout plans for proposed gravity sewers, pump stations and force mains for two different build-out scenarios.
• Estimated wastewater flows and sized proposed gravity sewers, pump stations and force mains as required to service the targeted study areas.
• Generated construction cost estimates for two build-out scenarios.
